| The symbols in our letterhead first represent the centrality of the Alpha and the Omega in our lives. The wings represent the protection over us, and remind us of Moses' words "Return children of men." And, when our mission is completed, "we fly away." The gradual upward design of the sections represents the upward advancement of God's selected individuals. |
Pastoral Counseling
Before applying for our courses, it would be helpful for the applicant to read Our Record article series on this website and ask questions. College education is helpful but not required. All courses are results oriented. Our Article Series will give you our track record. Our courses are founded on the correct understanding of what Christ and the writers of inspired Scriptures were saying.
The great concordant scholar A. E. Knoch's Concordant Greek Text is incorporated into our Academy's curriculum. A century ago, A.E. Knoch wrote: "I discovered that practically all solid progress in the recovery of truth during the last century had come through the use of concordance. I found that those of my friends who based their study on a concordance made the surest and speediest advance in their knowledge of God. Hence I also began to test and correct my ideas as to the meaning of Bible words by tracing them through all their occurrences. The immense profit and pleasure of this plan awoke in me a strong desire to do all in my power to assist others in this safe and satisfactory method of assuring themselves of the real revelation which God has given. But I found that even keen students of exceptional intelligence were not able to derive much benefit from concordances based on English translations. Only those who used concordances based on the original languages received real help"[2] Knoch is correct, only going back to the original languages is it possible to receive full benefit from the God inspired Writings.
As far as we know, we are the only pastoral guidance school in the USA that incorporates the above understanding into a curriculum. If there is another one, we are interested in seeking an association with that school or organization.
Participants can complete the entire course in one year by attending all ten workshops. Upon completion of the course, the participant will receive a certificate in pastoral counseling from Christ's Standards Academy. The workshops are also available for non-certificate personal advancement.
As the word Academy suggests, we offer up-to-date valuable articles, seminars, workshops, and educational sessions. We provide one page on this Counselors' website for our associates to present their biography and other related information.
